Fresh ideas, smart solutions
Motivate and inspire in a city where anything is possible
S
ydney is Asia
Pacific’s business
hub. Home to
the headquarters of
over 600 multinationals
it is the meeting place
of people, opinions
and ideas, home to
individuals, institutions
and industries that are
pushing the boundaries
of what's possible.
According to Lyn Lewis
Smith, CEO at Business
Events Sydney, “Sydney’s
world-renowned natural
and man-made beauty
complements a depth
of intellectual prowess
that can deliver real
outcomes for your next
event in Australia.
“When you look past
its iconic face, you see
that Sydney offers a rich
array of local talent,
research and academic
institutions, industry-led
knowledge hubs and
strengths in key industry
sectors. Everything
you need to connect,
collaborate and
innovate for success.”
At the epicentre of this
sharing of knowledge
will be the brand new

International Convention
Centre Sydney (ICC
Sydney), opening in
December 2016. This
will be Asia Pacific’s
premier integrated
convention, exhibition
and entertainment
precinct and will feature
an 8,000-seat plenary
theatre, an outside event
deck with sensational
views across the city, and
ballroom to seat 2,000
people with additional
dining capacity for 6,000
people.
ICC Sydney is already
proving to be a huge
drawcard with a growing
number of leading
international events
already confirmed,
including Sibos 2018,
World Congress of
Accountants 2018
and World Chambers
Congress 2017. In fact,
there are over 20 events
already confirmed for
the venue, with many
more in the pipeline.
These major events will
require huge capacity
from accommodation
providers and this is
where Sydney also
CONFERENCE & MEETINGS WORLD
