The new headquarters for the California Natural Resources Agency (CNRA), features 100,000 sf of retail and public space, including an auditorium, multi-vendor food court, and a pedestrian plaza. The project also includes a new Childcare Center and exterior improvements to the on-site historic Heilbron House. The building’s design honors the mission of the Agency by symbolically representing the natural resources they protect. The design reflects the qualities and physical attributes of one of California’s greatest resources — the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta — through its use of architectural forms and materials.
