La Isla De Los Monos
Monkey Island is a rehabilitation center for monkeys who were taken from abusive owners or were being sold illegally. To date the project has rescued and released over 200 monkeys and it shows no signs of slowing down. During our time there, the monkeys were very playful, energetic and friendly. They were more than willing to jump, climb, and sit on our shoulders. It was amazing to see this project first hand!
