Like many of the activities we experienced while in this special place, we were offered the unique opportunity to go fishing for piranha! We started down the Napo River (one of the largest tributaries of the Amazon) and then turned down several small branches of the Napo. We ended up in a very remote and secluded spot, perfect for piranha fishing. Although it was difficult for many of us to pull up the fish while it was still on the hook, many of the girls in our group still caught a piranha. As you can see in the picture below, we were able to try our piranha for dinner that night. Special bonus that day, on our way to the fishing spot, we spotted many dolphins, both pink and grey (and they were babies) dolphins!
