Our last opportunity to interact with the people of Peru, we visited Santa Monica Orphanage in Iquitos. The ages of the children range from just days old to 18 years old. We spent an afternoon there playing and learning a little bit about them. It was neat to see how the older children watched over the younger children. They were all so excited to talk and share something about themselves. As the day progressed, it began to rain pretty hard, despite the rain, no one let this slow down their excitement to be together. They most definitely left a mark in all of our hearts. It was a special way to end our time in this very special place.
