Getting to know...
OLIVER KENNEY
Oliver Kenney was born to
Tilten and Florence Kenney in
Tulsa, Oklahoma, April 14, 1927.
Oliver grew up around Caplinger
Mills and Cowan area, and grad-
uated 8th grade. His parents
passed away when he was a
young child. He lived with his
Aunt and several other family
friends until he turned 18, and
then moved to Minnesota to be a
farm hand with his brother in
1945.
Oliver has lived in several
states including California, Colo-
rado, Texas, Arkansas, New Mex-
ico, Idaho and Louisiana. He moved back to Missouri in the late
1960’s where he bought a farm and had a lumber mill outside of
Jerico Springs. There isn't a job Oliver can’t do. He has been a car-
penter, truck driver, mechanic, farmer, oil field worker and several
other titles over his lifetime.
Oliver married his wife Ann Teresa in 1946 and the couple have
five children David, James, Paul, Walter and Annette. He has several
grandchildren, great-grandchild, nieces and nephews. Oliver never
had time for hobbies, but always made time to fish. He enjoys being
outdoors, staying active, visiting with friends and homemade apple
pie! Thank you Oliver, for letting us get to know you!
