CAIYP’s main purpose is to connect our group of like-minded young professionals who are eager to learn and grow within CAI through networking, community service, leadership and education. Our goal is to create the next generation of leaders within the Com- munity Association Industry by learning how to network and de- velop a better overall understanding in our respective businesses from the chapter’s well-established membership base. A common perception of young professionals groups is that they hold only drinking/bar types of events. Our philosophy is far from that. One aspect of our committee will be hosting events that offer ac- tivities to network in unique ways that appeal to a younger demo- graphic. Events such as kayaking, rock climbing, and escape room contests. We are also planning to offer interactive professional devel- opment experiences by way of leadership roundtable discussions led by owners and CEOs of management companies, as well as business community • December 2017 WWW.CAIWESTFLORIDA.ORG
