PR/MARKETING by Lisa Sandie F or the 6th year, on July 15th a group of 50+ CAI members and their families arrived at the Feeding San Diego Warehouse where some of us for the first time, toured the facility. We were divided into teams to ensure the food was unopened, checking expiration dates, sorting the food by category and filling backpacks for San Diego children. Because it is filling and nutritious, we learned that peanut butter is like “gold”. In the fight against hunger, Feeding San Diego assists our local community by providing access to food and nutritious meals. Did you know that 1 in 5 children in San Diego County are at risk of hunger? For every $1 donated, 4 meals can be provided to local children and families facing hunger. Learn more at https://feedingsandiego.org/ Here’s what CAI San Diego did in one day… Participating Companies 20+, Event Volunteers 50+, Total Hours Donated 100+, Total Pounds of Food Collected & Donated - 1,471. CAI congratulates The Park Laurel Board of Directors and Homeowners as the grand prize winners for donating 231 pounds of food! They will receive a lunch on CAI as the largest contributing organization. Nu Flow was a close 2nd donating 223 pounds and Epsten Grinnell & Howell, APC right behind in 3rd place with 204 pounds. The Lakes Country Club and Pernicano Realty deserve special mention for their 163 and 116 pound donations, respectively. CAI San Diego is proud to give back to the community by contributing to Feeding San Diego! MEMBERSHIP by Jeremy Anding T he Membership Committee is rolling out our ‘Members Building Membership Pledge’ program at the committee meetings in the upcoming months, and are thrilled to see how it can grow our wonderful association with more great members!
