El Dorado YMCA

The El Dorado YMCA is focused on buidling healthy communities and partenrships.

Through community partnerships and the help of YMCA staff and volunteers, the El Dorado YMCA has been able to improve El Dorado's wellness for 15 years. Focusing on all ages and lifestyles, they offer youth programs, group trainings, senior classes and more.

In 2015, the El Dorado YMCA expanded their facility. This new facility, includes an indoor swimming pool, an indoor track, 2 full size basketball courts, a gymnastics studio, two group exercise and program studios, a weight room and a cardio center. They also have a Kidzone available to drop your children off while you get in a great workout.

Through youth programs and sports the YMCA, begins teaching children as young as 6 months how to live an active lifestyle. As the children continue to grow, they focus on core values such as respecting your peers, giving back to the community, and building caring relationships with those around you.

The YMCA has been instrumental in creating community partnerships, that help the entire community embrace healthy living. Recently, Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital, USD 490 and the El Dorado YMCA created a Wellness School Program, focused on middle school students.

City of El Dorado Recreation

The City of El Dorado offers Adult and Youth Programs that help crate an active and healthy lifestyle.

Whether it’s learning how to play disc golf, cooling off at a splash park, competing in the infamous July 4th turtle race,or just playing your favorite team sport; you’ll find plenty of activities to keep your family busy year round!

New to El Dorado and looking to get involved? El Dorado Parks & Rec has many adult programs, including volleyball, flag football, softball and basketball. Be sure to stop by the new 18-hole El Dorado Disc Golf Course at Legion Park located behind BG Products Veterans Sports Complex. El Dorado also offers a 6.3 mile long walking trail and bike path that pedestrians and cyclists can enjoy.
