We hold regular classes for our gardeners and the surrounding community , which are free of charge . Topics have included square foot gardening , container gardening , canning & preserving , organic gardening , fall gardening , etc .
We typically host about two social events each year . Our spring event , ‘ Planting Day ’, is held in April of each year . We have local nurseries present with plants , amendments , mulch , etc ., on-site for sale to make it easy for gardeners to plant . We typically offer a class that day , often using our in-garden demonstration plot . Then we have a fall harvest event , usually in October , which includes a pot-luck BBQ , s ’ mores , games , etc .

Harvest Farm … Growing a Healthier Suwanee
Harvest Farm is Georgia ' s largest organic community garden . The garden features 76 raised beds , which are all tended organically . Harvest Farm opened in April 2010 and is located in Suwanee ' s White Street Park . A former farm , White Street Park is located in the Old Town historic district . With a mission of " Growing a Healthier Suwanee ", Harvest Farm also serves as an educational resource for the Suwanee community , offering classes and educational events related to gardening , organic living , sustainability , and other relevant topics . Harvest Farm is proud to support the Plant a Row for the Hungry program and donates both food and supplies to local food banks .
