Based on the latest five-day forecast, it’s looking like we East Coasters
will have to just keep dreaming of a white Christmas. New York City will be
in the 70s on the 24th, and on Christmas Day itself you may want to swap
that reindeer sweater for a jingle-belled tee.
This disturbingly balmy December is in keeping with 2015’s thermostat
theme: ever upward. Last week, NOAA released its weather records for
November, declaring it the seventh consecutive month to break a monthly
global temperature average. The U.K.’s Met Office is already predicting that
2016 will steal this year’s pending title of hottest on record. White
Christmases may remain the ones we used to know.
