Cross Country Skiing
Balance, stride and glide! Learn cross-country skiing basics:
proper equipment fitting, diagonal stride, stopping, turning, and
a brief introduction to small hills. This recreational activity is a
peaceful way to explore the parks in winter while getting a great,
low-impact workout for novice skiers and those wanting a review.
Bring your own skis or pay $12 at class for ski rental. Class held
at Elm Creek Park in Maple Grove. Note boot size and height
when registering (if renting). Class fee: $29.

Indoor Golf Lessons
Don’t let your clubs get dusty and forget about your game
during the winter. Prepare yourself in anticipation for next
spring. Class covers basic setup and short shots, swing tips,
and the woods and driver. Beginning and intermediate players
welcome. See website for class meeting dates. Bring your own
golf clubs. Ball fee included. Class held at the Golf Dome in
Brooklyn Park. Class fee: $79.

Experience Minnesota ice fishing with a pro. Instructor, Matt
Doth, has over 30 years experience and will introduce you
to equipment, angling methods, bait and more. Day one is
classroom discussion and demonstration and day two is handson ice fishing on a nearby lake. A portable fish house will be
available to warm up. A Minnesota fishing license is required.
All equipment and bait is provided or you can bring your own.
Class fee: $49.
