Visit MN History: Historic
Kelley Farm
NO ONLINE REGISTRATION
The second tour in this series of tours to
many popular and some not so well know
places where history happened.
Explore the story of farming, food and
agriculture –past and present Tour this
historic farmstead near Elk River, MN
that was once home to a rural American
leader, Oliver H. Kelley. Learn about farm
life in the 1800’s and see oxen and draft
horses like those that would have worked
the fields. Also see cattle, sheep, pigs
and chickens of today’s farm. There is no
leaving until your “chores are completed.
The bus will leave from and return to
Gladstone. Please note there will be
no building access. Dress according
to weather, trip will run rain or shine.
Meet Kathy Ader outside the Manton St
entrance. Bus leaves promptly at 11:30 am
and returns at approximately 3:30 pm. Eat
lunch before you arrive at Gladstone. You
may bring a snack that does not require
refrigeration and can be left on the bus, to
eat on the return trip.
