Lake Harvey Project in St. Lucie West
City of Port St.
Lucie Names 17
Neighborhoods
in 2018
Approximately 300 residents
joined City staff on February 17,
2018 during the first NICE Day
Block Party to learn the new,
official names for several Port
St. Lucie neighborhoods.
A visually-appealing City cultivates community pride and spirit,
promotes good behavior, and increases property values. Recently
completed beautification and landscaping projects include Port St.
Lucie Boulevard landscaping along the south side of the Turnpike
Bridge, Cashmere Boulevard Buffer Area, Import Pond, Veterans
Memorial Water Quality Treatment Areas, and the Woodland Trails
Park Buffer Area. The City deeply appreciates the support of the
community groups that have donated their time, money and energy to
help with many of these beautiful projects. The Lake Harvey project
in St Lucie West was the recipient of much community support and
PSL thanks the many citizens who donated to this project including:
St. Lucie West Services District, Mrs. Harvey Cutler, Sunset Rotary
Club, Lake Forest HOA, and First Services Residential Florida, Inc.
Studies have shown that beautification projects help improve property
values and reduce littering. Landscaping projects help create the
City’s neighborhood-friendly atmosphere while providing park areas
perfect for gathering with family and friends.

The City will take these names and incorporate signage and gateway features to help brand each area with its
new identity. The City also will provide guidelines to help facilitate the engagement and to work with City staff on
neighborhood improvements.
