Once I began to see positive results (success) I took it to the extreme. I increased the frequency of training sessions even more.

At this point I train Sunday through Saturday alternating exercises a couple of those days and it's worked wonders for me.

Because I train everyday, the level of intensity does not have to be as high because my frequency is so high. Consequently the amount of sets and reps I'm doing on an exercise is much greater than that of somebody who is maybe hitting chest and back once or twice a week. I'm hitting it six to seven times a week, and just like in the old days, it's working like a charm. I'm getting bigger, stronger and staying leaner.

Give the 7 days per week, full body workout a try and see for yourself if it doesn't bust the myth that the split workout is the best way to go.

And it's been the accepted and most popular method ever since. It's not better, it's just what became of the previous standard as a means to accommodate the inclusion of steroids.

However, for a natural person I would recommend full body training because it works better for us. Natural athletes have to work harder in regard to raising protein synthesis as opposed to somebody who takes performance enhancing drugs. PED's are designed to raise protein synthesis for a longer period of time.

I started full body training 2 months ago and by week 4 I had already put on 5 pounds of muscle without supplements on an eating program that would allow me to gain weight.
