NEONATOLOGY
Neonatology surgery
The majority of babies seen prenatally in our Colorado Fetal Care Center will need surgery once they’re born. With
pediatric and neonatology expertise, we have performed more than 400 neonatal surgeries, following patients from
prenatal diagnosis through delivery and beyond. Our level of expertise in both prenatal imaging and interpretation
allows us to understand, anticipate and plan for each baby’s future care. We work closely with our neonatology team
to coordinate post-surgical and specialized care.

Fellowship accredited with distinction
The American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Practice Transition Accreditation
validates hospital residency or fellowship programs that transition registered
nurses and advanced practice nurses into new practice settings that meet rigorous,
evidence-based standards.
This summer, Children’s Colorado’s Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Fellowship Program
achieved Accreditation with Distinction — becoming the first ANCC-accredited
program of its kind in the nation.
