She has three brothers and one sister. When she was born, her dad was in the Army and they were stationed at Ft. Riley. When she was 2, the family moved to Atchison where they lived for a short while. Her parents purchased a 20 acre farm in Thomasville and Miranda at- tended school in Buffalo up to the 6th grade. Her family decided to move back to Atchison, and for the next three years she went to school there until they decided to move back to Thomasville. Miranda went to school up to her senior year where she got bored with it and decided to get married. Out of this marriage she had three children, one boy and two girls. She also has five grandchildren who she loves and cherishes so much! After seven years of marriage, Miranda and her husband went separate ways and Miranda moved to Windyville with her mom. Miranda started working at B & D Truck Stop in Lebanon. This is where she met the man of her dreams. “I was working one even- ing, and Cliff Lowe came into the store. He was on his way to go fish- ing. I told him I wish I could go and he said to come along. Of course I couldn’t because I just came on shift. A few weeks later he came back into the store and this time, he asked me out on a date. That was 14 years ago,“ said Miranda. “We say that we are “Forever Engaged,” said Miranda. Miranda came to Colonial Springs in March 2019. She is a joy to be around and socializes with the other residents like they are her grandpar- ents. She encourages them to do the best they can every day. Miranda loves to sing, so this month we are conducting a Karaoke day just for her. She also enjoys cro- cheting and knitting, as well as sitting outside and enjoying the nice weath- er. But most of all, loves playing with her grandchildren and visiting with Cliff. Thank you Miranda for allowing us to get to know you better . Are you a caring individual who would like to assist in caring for the elderly?
