Our annual family Christmas party will be held on Saturday, Dec. 17 at 2 p.m. in the dining room. We know that some of our residents will not be able to go home for Christmas, so this is a special time for families and friends to come here and celebrate the spirit of Christmas with them. This year we encourage you to dress in your cowboy/cowgirl attire because we are having a Country Christmas with all the fixins’. The Elkland Independent Methodist Choir will be singing a variety of carols for all to enjoy. If you have any questions, please contact Patrice Melton, activity director, at 417-345-2228. Don’t forget to bring a gift to put under the tree because Santa Claus will be making a presentation. (above) - Patrice, activity director, congratulates Herman on his years of service during last month’s Veteran’s Day program. Countdown to Noon Party Since hardly any of us stay up until the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve, the residents will be having a “Countdown to 12 noon” party on Dec. 31. We will have our party in the dining room area as we wait for lunch to be served. Horns, hats and noisemakers will be provided. We may even have some non-alcohol sparkling grape juice. Families are welcome to come celebrate with us.
