MIXING LEARNING AND FUN Celebrations for Children and Adults Celebrate birthdays, graduations, or just the fact that it’s Friday, with a fun and festive gathering at the Museum. Looking for a distinctive venue for that special birthday, book club meeting, or friends’ day out? The Museum offers fun and engaging options for any occasion—from a child’s birthday party to a fun private exhibition tour followed by refreshments and fun! Birthday Parties As a Museum member, you can celebrate your child’s birthday in a unique way with an Art-Full Birthday Celebration. These two-hour art ?lled parties are fun educational celebrations featuring interactive tours in the galleries, a hands-on art activity, and a personalized art smock for the birthday child! Choose a theme—Animal Art Safari or Finding Fairies (ages 4 - 6) or Gods and Goddesses or Jewels, Fabulous Jewels (ages 8 - 12)—and book a date. Add guests and a cake and you’ll have a birthday party your child will always remember! The Details: for Kids Plus Members and above $185 for up to 15 participants A 2-hour party includes a 30-minute gallery tour, hands-on activity, paper products, invitations, and art smock for the birthday child. Art Uncorked Small Group Tours for the Thirsty Perfect for book clubs, garden clubs, of?ce retreats, birthday celebrations, and even that special anniversary fête just for two, Art Uncorked: Small Group Tours for the Thirsty has an option to ?t any occasion. Start with a private guided tour of a featured special exhibition or visit the Museum’s collection and explore ancient civilizations, the Italian Renaissance, or art through the ages. After the tour enjoy mimosas and pastries, wine and cheese, cookies and lemonade, or beer and bites with your friends or colleagues at a private reception. Recently, Morgan Leath and his ?ancée celebrated a special anniversary with a highlights tour of the Museum’s collection, a lovely red wine, a selection of cheeses, and a very special decadent chocolate dessert. “What a special way to celebrate our anniversary. My ?ancée was blown away by how wonderful everything was. It made for a great surprise gift, ” said Leath. Katie King scheduled an Art Uncorked birthday celebration for her mom and 15 of her closest friends. After a tour of Who Shot Rock & Roll, they enjoyed wine and cheese along with lively conversation and lots of laughter. “It was a great way for all of my mom’s friends to get together and celebrate her birthday. The tour, the wine, the cheese—everything was great! What a fun way to end the afternoon,” said King. The Details: $200 / $150 for Museum members for up to 10 participants, $15 each additional guest.
