The Truth Behind Area 51 Many sightings of alien spaceships or accounts of extraterrestrial life are inaccurate and unreliable. Some of Area 51's ships, including spy planes and bombers, fly at altitudes too high to be clearly seen by the human eye. At 12,000 feet, an airplane looks like a tiny spec flying through the sky. How can one make an educated assumption with such poor vision. Even at night, some people believe the planes emitted light patterns that look otherworldly. Every plane I have ever seen or been on emits some sort of light for communication or being able to see in the dark. Even pictures or footage recorded is often blurry or reveals little evidence that what is being witnessed is truly a UFO. Another significant reason Area 51 is given it's ominous reputation is because the minds of society are fueled by media or other sources that constantly feed them inaccurate information. Shows and programs such as The X-Files, Ghost Busters, and other popular television networks thrive off of scaring the public into believing these ideas, no matter how false they are. It is shocking to me that producers and television networks get paid for making lies and myths. Area 51 is kept secret for many good reasons. The weapons are just as important to keep secret as the possibility that aliens exist inside the base. “ Area 51's secrets are strictly confidential, but I can assure you that nothing out of this world goes on inside.” This is what the security guard at the gates of the base told me. An honest worker assures us that aliens may exist, just not in the desert of Nevada.
