Why not celebrate Australia Day in one
of the best parts of Australia…the Tweed!
The tweed region holds a array of
activities to celebrate Australia Day.
Some of the organised locations and
activities include:
• Tyalgum will start with their traditional
street parade, followed by traditional
cricket match which will be played at
Bruce Bartrim Oval and the day’s final
event will be the Tyalgum Cup Cycle
race starting in front of Tyalgum Store.
• Pottsville will hold a family and
community fun and games day.
Pottsville Beach Sports Club will also
host a number of family oriented
events culminating in an award
presentation at the end of the day’s
proceedings.
• Tweed Heads’ Chris Cunningham
Park will be the location for a
number of special community events
featuring a range of activities for kids
of all ages.
• Kingscliff Lions Park at Marine Pde will
host the annual Kingscliff Lions Club
Australia Day Aussie Breakfast and
flag raising ceremony.
• Tumbulgum will host the town’s
annual barbecue breakfast, flag
raising, award presentation and
entertainment at Brian Breckenridge
Field.
