What inspired and motivated you to start your business?

I wanted to express our beautiful culture in our own language whilst creating a conduit to share knowledge and enhance understanding of our deep connection that we as Aboriginal people feel for country.

What advice would you give to other entrepreneurs’ / business owners / aspiring business people out there?

To have a realistic plan that is organized yet flexible which allows for the unexpected.

To try and maintain the strength to not be discouraged when surrounded by negativity.

Be mindful of how you conduct yourself in the face of adversity as your reactions will speak volumes about your business.

What philosophy or quote do you live by in your business?

To never compromise on the goals you aim to achieve however remember that many paths will lead to the same destination.

To believe in yourself and recognize your strengths and know your limitations; also that when you are searching for an answer sometimes something that you think you need to learn or do not understand; is something you already know.

What will your business look like in 5 years?

We look forward to the future with the aim to employ more Aboriginal people and to expand our product range using all local sustainable and environmentally friendly materials. We would also love to be in a position to encourage and inspire other Aboriginal entrepreneurs to develop their own business dreams. The only person that can hold you back is yourself – Dream Big.

All our wood products are handmade. Every design is unique, authentic and individually hand painted by local Noongar artists.

A Certificate of Authenticity comes with all artwork recognizing the Art as Australian Aboriginal Art.
