7.5.2.2 Incrementally Enhance Tourism Infrastructure
The Town should also establish a process for reviewing new community services and amenities
through a tourism lens as they are introduced. For example, Recommendation 7.2.3 suggests
building a permanent structure to shelter the Farmer’s Market at Lake Commando. While this is
primarily to benefit and promote the local agricultural community, it could also be incorporated
into the community’s tourism infrastructure by:
• Placing promotional and directional signage on the highway.
• Installing an unmanned tourism information kiosk at the shelter to orient tourists to other
community features and attractions.
