I pick up the telephone and someone on the other end introduces herself as Kelly, assistant to “NBC Nightly News” with Brian Williams. After confirming that this isn’t one of my warped friends playing a practical joke, I settle in to find out what Kelly wants. An interview with me and one of my clients to talk about retirement coaching—that answer doesn’t surprise me as much as it should. It is following an article in the October 8th issue of The New Yorker where I was interviewed as a Retirement Coach. Although done in a tongue-in-cheek manner, retirement coaching came through as an up and coming inevitability. That article also was the impetus for an interview with BBC Radio earlier this month.
