Coaching World is developed and produced by the ICF Marketing Department. May We Connect ... ICF is often described as a global connected community. These are very powerful words: “connected” and “community.” As with so many words, they may mean a lot of things to different people. Let’s look at “connect.” One may say it is to establish a relationship. Others will define it as getting in touch or creating a rapport. My favorite definition actually states that to connect means to “awaken meaningful emotions.” Every day we connect—and we are being connected—by and with. Meaningful emotions are those of lasting impact and impression, even if the awareness of them comes later. That’s what coaching is all about. What a wonderful opportunity to get in Social Media Specialist Justin Hannah touch in so many different ways. Many ICF Chapters are hosting activities Marketing Specialist and events that will bring coaching closer to the general public. For those who know about coaching already, perhaps that will be the very last gentle nudge to actually engage in the coaching relationship. For those for whom coaching is a new offer, it could open up new possibilities.
