Friday Afternoon Activities Program
Surfing
This Friday activity will run in conjunction with the School of
Surfing WA, with lessons held at Trigg beach. With a strict ratio
of 1 coach (provided by School of Surfing WA) for every 8
students, places in this activity are limited.
All coaches possess a Level 1 Surf Coach accreditation,
a working with children card and surf rescue certificates.
Further supervision is provided by a GGS staff member who
accompanies the students each Friday.
Lessons focus on safe practice in the surf (identifying prevailing
conditions, board use, wave selection, being sun smart) and
having fun. All ability levels are catered for.
Buses depart the school at 12.30pm and return by 3.25pm.
Please note that as a minimum, the student must be able to swim
50m free style and tread water while signaling for help for 60
seconds.
