Friday Afternoon Activities Program Crossfit This Friday afternoon activity will take place at the Midland Artax CrossFit Centre (connected to the Crooked Spire Coffee House) and will see students participate with a coach that will teach them the basics of CrossFit, as well as equip them with the knowledge and experience to continue pursuing CrossFit in their own time. CrossFit is defined as ‘constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity.’ All CrossFit workouts are based on functional movements, and these movements reflect the best aspects of gymnastics, weightlifting, running, rowing and more. These are the core movements of life. Intensity is essential for results, and is measured in work vs. time. The more work you do in less time, the more intense the effort. By employing a constantly varied approach to training, functional movements and intensity lead to dramatic gains in fitness. Come along on a Friday to finish your week off with a workout.
