Pam Dougherty, Resident of the Month Pam was born November 13, 1962, to Russell and Rosemary Dougherty in South Sea, Iowa. She grew up in a house with three brothers and two sisters. While growing up on a farm, Pam had six little kittens. She had named five of them “Little Blacky” and one “Snow Ball”. Pam loved growing up on a farm. She often will think back on all of the fun times she had. Pam would often times hide in the hay stacks from my parents and other siblings. She describes herself as an adventurist, a joker, and a people person. In 1981, Pam had the opportunity to visit Pam Dougherty Universal Studios in California. While there, she made a short movie. In the movie, she played a cop. That same year, Pam visited the famous Ghost Town, where they say you never come out. Well, as you can see, Pam did! While living in Iowa, Pam enjoyed working at a recycling center, in as a dishwasher at the local Café, and at a day care center. In 2010, Pam moved to Missouri and shared an apartment with her brother, Paul. They had a great time together. Sadly, Paul passed away two years ago. Pam became a part of the CMHCF family in September 2012. Pam is very active and enjoys playing Bingo and working on all of her art projects. She has been a contestant in two of the CMHCF pageants and a candidate for position on the resident council. “I enjoy being around people and meeting new friends.” says Pam with a smile. Congratulations on being CMHCF’s Resident of the Month for July!
