ROXBURGH The Dam to Pub Bike Race - This is an annual initiative by the Rotary clubs of Wanaka and Roxburgh, to raise funds for organisations in the Teviot Valley.  2016 saw 100 participants take part in the 53km ride from the Roxburgh Dam to the Beaumont Pub, along the Clutha Gold bike trail. The respective rotary clubs organise the event from marketing to marshalling, including the establishment of an event website. 42 NRG QUEENSTOWN The clubs were able to make donations totalling $3,900 to: • Millers Flat School • Roxburgh Primary School • Tracks Trust • Sport Otago • St John The clubs hope this event will become part of the local area calendar and make a meaningful contribution to the local community. Glow on the green - After being hugely popular last year, we brought the event back for 2016. Glow on the green is a golf experience that is played in the dark. The fairway and greens are illuminated and you play with LED glow in the dark balls. The game is played in ambrose format, with teams of 4 golfers (individual players and partial teams will be matched up accordingly). Held an information night for the public NRG Queenstown is for all people who want to make a difference! We invited the public to come and find out more about our projects and the benefits they can get out of being a member of our group - including networking, friendship and building a CV full of great charity work. Beach Clean - We hold regular beach cleans around town. We’re helping the Wakatipu Toy Library raise some funds as well as doing a much needed community service by removing the litter. 43
