festivals & events ruff river rumble fourth of july festival June 15th whiteside county fair July 17 th - 21 st Felix Adler Day Clinton County Fair Children’s Discovery Center | Clinton, IA 328 East 8th Street | Dewitt, IA Event is from 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. The Felix Adler Children’s Discovery Center celebrates the famous Clinton clown with an annual event in June. The festival includes entertainment, activities, food, face painting and more. The day is de- signed for children and their families. Hundreds of 4-H and FFA members will prepare exhibits for the annual Clinton County Fair and Club Show in DeWitt during July. Youth exhibitors will show their livestock and other projects. This event features club show Olympics, a teen dance, a carnival, rodeo and dem- olition derby. Adults from Clinton County may enter projects in the creative arts. People can choose between the Master Gardeners’ vegetable show or the flower show. Children and adults have a variety of entertainment options at the fair. July 4 th Clinton Fourth of July Festival Riverfront Park | Clinton, IA Clinton 4th of July Festival was founded on the belief of celebrating our great country and giving back to the commu- nity we love. We strive to offer a family oriented FREE one day festival in River View Park each year. Come to the Fourth of July Festival along Riverview Drive Activities will follow in Riverview Park, including children’s activities, live enter- tainment and food. The fair provides something for everyone, young and old alike including a carnival and midway at- tractions, a petting zoo, and grandstand events including harness racing and mu- sical entertainment. September 8 th Clinton Half Marathon Camanche Days Along Mississippi | Clinton, IA Platt Park | Camanche, IA Located in scenic Clinton, Iowa, runners can choose a race distance of 5k, 10k, or the Half Marathon. The race starts along Riverfront Drive, paralleling the mighty Mississippi, with challenging hill climbs leading to a majestic overlook of the widest part of the Mississippi River! Race will commence at 7:30 a.m. Registration is now open at www.clintonhalfmarathon.com.
