J
NO SLEEP
UNTIL
BROOKLYN
en is the definition of a true girlboss.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, she
has taken the entertainment world by
storm over the past decade. Initially,
her mind was set on studying fashion at
Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) but
she experienced a change of heart after two
years, when she switched her focus to the
entertainment industry. By embodying the
determination, creativity, and drive of a true
New Yorker, Jen earned her nickname “Jen
from BK” shortly after her career switch.
Jen’s career story is nothing shy of
success. She worked her way up from the
bottom with little help from anyone and no
major connections to assist her in finding a
job. “No goal is too high when it comes to
creative pursuits. If you can dream it, you
can achieve it...but you need structure.
Without an actual plan, a dream is just a
dream” said Jen. After leaving FIT, she

broke into the entertainment industry by
interning with places like HOT 97, in
order to form a strong foundation in media
and radio. Later on, she used her talent to
become an assistant producer of the Cipha
Sounds and Rosenberg Morning Show.
Following Jen’s impressive internships,
she played an active role in HOT 97’s digital
platforms by elevating the company's social
media and online presence. She also hosts
her personal radio show “Jen And The City”
which airs 10am-2pm Sundays on the radio
station.
Jen also created “Ladies First,” a web
show to empower and celebrate women. It’s
a movement that centers on highlighting the
achievement of professional women. The
show represented NYC as part of a You-
Tube global campaign for Women's History
Month. She’s also big on youth empower-
ment always advocating for the youth of

New York City to achieve their dreams.
Not surprisingly, Jen is also an active
media personality and influencer landing her
several brand collaborations and partnerships
with popular well-renowned companies
like Diane Von Furstenberg, Tribeca Film
Festival, Reebok, Jack Daniels, NYFW,
Adidas, Maybelline, Samsung, BAI, NY
Knicks, WNBA, NFL, YouTube, Revolt TV,
and TNT.
Most importantly, Jen, being the only
full blooded Asian radio personality in the
#1 New York Market, makes it a priority to
give back to her community and
advocates for both her race and gender. She
has spoken on several panels promoting
female empowerment and stands as an active
role model for the Asian community by
striving to increase Asian presence in the
media. “As an Asian, and as a woman, I’m
fighting two battles when it comes to the
industry, but like a warrior, I’m fearless and
I wear my scars proudly,” said Jen. Brooklyn
Borough President Eric Adams awarded
Jen twice for her various work in media,
education, and philanthropy at the Brooklyn
Borough Hall.
But Jen’s talents aren’t limited to social
media and radio. Her expertise also extends
to film. Her love for TV and film lead her
to starting a tv/film production company
called Next Jeneration where she’s currently
working on new exciting projects. “I’m big
on seeing the talent in someone, regardless if
they’re experienced or not. If you got it, you
got it, and that’s what my Next Jeneration
team is comprised of.” The company
pr oduced a film, titled “Who is JenBklyn”
that documents her life and her endeavors in
New York City, from on-air action to visiting
her childhood home in Brooklyn for the first
