INDUSTRYNEWS PROFILE 22 SHORTLISTED AS FINALIST FOR THE 2014 SUSTAINABLE HOUSING AWARDS Profile 22 and approved commercial manufacturer, Polar Windows have been shortlisted in the Transformation category of the Sustainable Housing Awards 2014, organised by Inside Housing magazine and its sister publication Sustainable Housing. These awards put the spotlight on the best green social housing projects constructed in the UK, and the organisations responsible for them. The trophies will be presented at a ceremony hosted by one of the world’s greatest living explorers, Sir Ranulph Fiennes on Friday 17 October at the Lancaster London Hotel. Emma Maier, editor of Inside Housing, said: “Housing accounts for 25% of UK carbon emissions, so reducing emissions from new and existing homes is vital if the UK is to meet its carbon reduction targets. Social housing landlords have been at the forefront of responding to that challenge. “It is a brilliant achievement for Profile 22 and Polar Windows to be shortlisted in the face of such fierce competition. We are thrilled to be able to host the awards ceremony that recognises the work of the housing sector’s sustainable pioneers.” Call Profile 22 on 01952 290910. www.profile22.co.uk, insidehousing.co.uk Conservatory Outlet connects with dealers at social get together Yorkshire-based fabricator Conservatory Outlet has a reputation for throwing buoyant events for its dealer network, and this year it is now putting the finishing touches to a weekend getaway, to take place at De Vere Belton Woods in Lincolnshire, this October. The event will bring together directors and owners from 20 Conservatory Outlet dealers, as well as wives/husbands and partners. The weekend will start with an informal dinner on Friday evening, followed by an activity day on Saturday, when attendees will be able to take part in outdoor pursuits, play golf, or enjoy the spa. The day will end with a formal dinner and an awards ceremony hosted by Conservatory Outlet MDs Greg Kane and Michael Giscombe. Greg commented: “Our business model makes it easy for us to organise such events. No dealer competes with another, as they all have business interests in different regions of the UK, which allows for a harmonious relationship between all parties. “There’s also an awards ceremony, which gives us the opportunity to recognise and celebrate the close partnership we have with our dealers.” www.conservatoryoutletdealers.co.uk/ Call 01924 239813 GLAZERITE TOPS £10M IN FIRST HALF Glazerite Windows Ltd has recorded its first-ever £10million half-year sales after growing nearly 40% year on year.
