NEW FULL HEIGHT
SOFFIT OPTION FOR
GLOBAL SUMMER
A full height soffit is now available as an
internal design option for Synseal’s bestselling hybrid orangery, Global Summer.
Launched in May 2012, Global Summer
has proven popular with UK consumers and
offers a “shelf-style” orangery soffit as standard,
300m in depth and 140mm in height, to
provide a perimeter ceiling detail and house
downlights or audio speakers.
The new soffit delivers the substantial “built”
feel that many homeowners want and is

available on Edwardian-style orangeries and
conservatories across roof pitches varying from
15o to 35o.
Installed on a raised line Global Summer with
a standard roof pitch of 25o, the full height
soffits will measure 300mm depth and 422mm
height up to the rafters, or 450mm depth and
492mm height with the larger model.
The soffit is fitter-friendly – the kit comes
with everything required to install on site
except plasterboard, and features an easy to

fix galvanised steel framework, foam strip to
stop ingress of insects into the soffit void and
discreet privacy film can be applied to roof
glass to conceal the soffit void when viewed
from an upstairs window.

REHAU CONGRATULATES DAVID ON
A WELL EARNED RETIREMENT
As David Holland, MD of REHAU trade
fabricator 1st Class Window Systems, moves
into semi- retirement after 40 years in the
window industry, REHAU has marked the
occasion by presenting Dave with vouchers to
spend on indulging his passions for both golf
and fishing.
Dave has been with 1st Class in Pevensey, East
Sussex, since the company was established in
1995 and customers can be reassured that they
won’t be losing his knowledge and experience
completely because he will continue to work
with the company on a consultancy basis.

During this time, he has rema ined loyal to
REHAU and was instrumental in convincing the
other directors of 1st Class to choose REHAU
profile when they started fabricating. This has
proved the right decision for the company which
has consistently been a well respected fabricator,

Dave now plans to travel with his wife,
Melanie, as well as spending even more time on
