Fantastic FIT for Phoenix Doors
High levels of interest in both
its UPVC panel doors and GRP
composite doors contributed to a
highly successful 2014 FIT Show
debut for Phoenix Doors, part of
MASCO UK Window Group Ltd.
The Telford event provided the perfect
opportunity for the Cambridgeshire-based
door solution company to unveil its new
name and modern brand identity as part
of the Group-wide rebranding on the
double-decker MASCO UKWG stand.
The show also supplied a steady
throughput of visitors, including
potential prospects among existing
Group customers, according to Haydon
Statham, Phoenix Doors Sales Director,
whose engaging manner caught the
attention of the FIT Show TV team.
“It’s been a very positive, successful
show for us. Everything gelled very well:
from strengthening cohesion with the
Group to meeting lots of potential new
customers, we never really stopped,” he
added.
“Keeping in touch with industry
developments was also useful and
it gave us the opportunity to gauge
interest in our fresh ideas, such as a
rebated door, new hardware and glazing
designs,” he added. “We’re looking
forward to returning in 2016!”

BFRC HOMEOWNER
CERTIFICATE - A HIT AT FIT
The human BFRC
Homeowners Energy
Rating Certificate was a big
hit at FIT 2014 – distributing
nearly 1,000 promotional
leaflets.
The leaflet stated that
all homeowners, when
asked, said they wanted
this new Energy Rating
Certificate, when having
BFRC rated replacement
windows and doors fitted
in their homes. Installers
were eager to hear the
message – and promote
the fact they install BFRC
rated product to their
customers.
This BFRC Homeowners
Energy Rating Certificate
is specific to the property
and the products purchased
and will feature the installers
name and date of installation
as well as the well-known
‘rainbow’ colour label. The
ratings displayed will be ‘A+’
to ‘C’ for windows and ‘A+’
to ‘G’ for doors. It is the only
such certificate available in
the UK glazing sector.
This certificate is a valuable
new marketing tool for
installers. It is issued at the
same time as the FENSA
certificate and can be supplied
with no extra administration for
the installer. Just tick the box
at the point of notification on
the FENSA website. It costs
just £1.50 (ex VAT).

the first day of FIT appeared to be a
consistently busy one for Bohle.
“It was a very busy day,” said
Dave Broxton, the company’s
Managing Director. “The only
time we saw a break in visitors to
our stand was during the last 15
minutes of the day when the stand
opposite us started offering out free
champagne - but it was our team
who definitely deserved a toast for
their efforts!”
