CONSERVATORIES NEVER LOSE SIGHT OF THE VALUE OF YOUR TEAM, SAYS JIM This may be a very competitive and product-focussed industry but it is important not to lose sight of the hard-working people who make it all happen. That’s the view of Jim Dance of AbsoluteWindow Co which is based in Worsley, Manchester. ‘We have retained many of our really good people, some of whom have been with us for 25 years now – I cannot speak too highly of them, they are a great team When Jim started in the business more than 30 years ago, it was all about windows. He and his then business partner worked in extrusions, before moving into sales. But Jim always wanted to run his own company and so he launched Absolute Window Co – and he has never looked back since. But Jim is quick to give credit to the loyal and hardworking team behind him. “We have retained many of our really good people, some of whom have been with us for 25 years now – I cannot speak too highly of them, they are a great team,” Jim said. “They know the business inside out and that is reflected in the success we have enjoyed. Their contribution has been immeasurable.” Such is that success that the company, which under the brand name roof2roof is now manufacturing under licence the Supalite tiled conservatory roof system, is now seeking to add more installers to cover the North West and Midlands regions. Supalite has strong credentials and is gaining in popularity with homeowners looking for a virtual home extension that can be used all year round, rather than just an ordinary conservatory. Supalite tiles come with a 40 year manufacturer’s guarantee and require no maintenance following installation. “This is a superior product,” says Jim, “at a time when people are expecting further rises in energy bills, its impressive energy efficiency is a major benefit and selling point.” ‘Its impressive energy efficiency is a major benefit and selling point’ As we move into the top season for home improvements, and if you want to get in on the act, call 0161 793 1166 and find out more about how it can work for you. www.clearview-uk.com STEVE’S RIG HT ON CUE WITH GLAZERITE 74 APR 2014 There was plenty to celebrate when Frames Conservatories Direct launched its new 150sqm showroom. The Bury St Edmunds installer was not only unveiling a bigger and fully refurbished facility but also marking its new membership of Network VEKA and the changeover to the VEKA range from leading fabricator Glazerite Windows Limited. Network VEKA brand ambassador Steve Davis was on hand to play a few frames of pool with visitors and also dropped in to oversee an installation for surprised homeowners before going on to visit Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club, which the installer sponsors. “The day was a great success,” said MD Adrian Lewis, who officially opened the new showroom. “The visitors were very impressed with what they saw and we even took a number of orders on the day. We now have a much wider range of products on offer since making the change to VEKA and Glazerite, and this much bigger showroom has proved to be the ideal way to show them all in the best light.” ‘A great success’ Karen Lund, Steve Davis, Adrian Lewis, and Chris Thompson at the launch. www.glazeritewindows.co.uk To read more, visit www.clearview-uk.com
