INDUSTRYNEWS PROFILE 22 SHORTLISTED AS FINALIST FOR THE 2014 SUSTAINABLE HOUSING AWARDS Profile 22 and approved commercial manufacturer, Polar Windows have been shortlisted in the Transformation category of the Sustainable Housing Awards 2014, organised by Inside Housing magazine and its sister publication Sustainable Housing. These awards put the spotlight on the best green social housing projects constructed in the UK, and the organisations responsible for them. The trophies will be presented at a ceremony hosted by one of the world’s greatest living explorers, Sir Ranulph Fiennes on Friday 17 October at the Lancaster London Hotel. The event will bring together directors and owners from 20 Conservatory Outlet dealers, as well as wives/husbands and partners. The weekend will start with an informal dinner on Friday evening, followed by an activity day on Saturday, when attendees will be able to take part in outdoor pursuits, play golf, or enjoy the spa. The day will end with a formal dinner and an awards ceremony hosted by Conservatory Outlet MDs Greg Kane and Michael Giscombe. New products, new customers, plus strong growth in current customer accounts in all sectors helped the trade-only fabricator ring in excess of £10,500,000 for January–June, as against £7,500,000 in the same period last year. The sales increase is the latest in an unbroken chain of impressive growth in the company’s 15 years history. “Our expansive product range has played a big part,” said Director Jason Thompson. This includes the New Wave swing/slide door, Solidor timber-core doors, the VEKA 8 SEP 2014 Imagine Bi-fold and the Residence 9 PVC-U flush sash windows. “The growth came largely from helping established customers increase their own figures. We only prosper if our customers do and most of our installer partners have also shown significant growth. “Admittedly, this growth has put a strain on the whole industry supply chain but we feel the £1million-plus investment we committed to early this year will now come to fruition with our new ‘special’ factory coming online, continued staff expansion, the growing vehicle fleet and further investment.” To read more, visit
