ULTRAFRAME’S
LivinROOF hits
the mark
Following this year’s FIT Show,
Joe Martoccia, commercial
director at conservatory
roof system manufacturer,
Ultraframe, gives an insight
into the reaction of the
company’s newest innovation,
LivinROOF.
“As a leading sector innovator,
we find ourselves following an
established market trend, rather
than setting it. The replacement
roof market has been growing
steadily over the last two years,
with growth in replacement
conservatories outstripping
growth in new build. It’s an
established market - and for
us and our network, a new
opportunity.
“But typically, we have
developed our own unique
points of differentiation to
existing systems available on the
market today. Being second-in
means that we have been able
to evaluate the competition,
the market opportunities and
engage with consumers to ensure
that our product, LivinROOF,
delivers beyond expectation. And
we believe that it does.
“We developed our
LivinROOF product after
exhaustive testing and feedback
from selected retailers,
distributors and fabricators,
ensuring LivinROOF really hits
the mark. As a rule of thumb,
if it was previously a glass or
poly roof, it can be a solid
LivinROOF.
“It was essential that skilled
roof fitters could easily fit
LivinROOF, as it is based
on the proven Ultraframe
Classic roof system, so product
familiarisation is all that’s
needed. Logistics and materials
handling was another major
consideration and LivinROOF
delivers there too. It is delivered
flat-pack along with cut to size
insulation and panels, so it
can fit into an industry norm
Transit/Sprinter van. Crucially,
it is cost-competitive, with best
–in-class speed of installation;
plus the glazed elements in the
