SOLID PARTNERSHIP FOR SLABS
Blackburn based Eco-Door has been using Solidor slabs for the last 6 months in the manufacture of its own complete composite door sets, which are offered with a dedicated Rehau door frame. Eco-Door decided upon Solidor, due to the fact that the product had a wealth of sales features, including 15 colours inside and out at the time, which have now been extended to 17. The fact that Solidor slabs have a proven exterior grade laminate, rather than a painted, stained or embossed finish along with a range of over 14 styles were further features that impressed the team at Eco-Door. By their very name, Eco-Door are sending an environmental message out to their customers and the fact that the Solidor slabs can be completely recycled is a big plus for the business at a time when GRP based doors are destined for landfill at the end of their useful life. Dean Livesey, managing director of EcoDoor comments: ‘It was a relatively easy decision for us to take the Solidor slab and they have also proven to be a great business partner for us.’

PANEL SALES SOAR
Nice Door Panels, sister company to Solidor, has reported half year sales up 17% on the same period in 2012. The company believes that the disappearance of some of its low cost, budget competitors has helped boost sales, along with its extended product range, short lead time and customer focussed approach. The product range now extends to 19 designs and an incredible 16 colours and woodgrains. Some of the latest finishes include Mocha, French Grey, Chartwell Green and Duck Egg Blue. The company has also experienced the growth in conservatory panels and has also introduced 36, 40 and 44mm panels over the last 12 months. Like sister company Solidor, Nice Door Panels isn’t afraid to commit to product development and has launched a number of industry firsts. The company also utilises CoolSkin technology, which has been developed by 3D Laminates specifically for the panel market and has been proven across the extreme climates of Europe. Gareth Mobley, managing director of Nice Door Panels comments: ‘This is a great performance by us and reflects the fact that there remains a buoyant and sustainable market for door panels.’ Visit www.nicedoorpanels.co.uk, e-mail [email protected] or call 01782 847300 for a free brochure.
More inside than meets the eye....
It was Napoleon Bonaparte who said “A picture is worth a thousand words” and, if correct, Distinction’s new brochure with well over 800 pictures must compete alongside some of the longest books ever published. By displaying every style and colour in Distinction’s new glass range in their new 68 page brochure, the company has made it easy for both its fabricator customers, and in turn the buying public, to see the full and available ranges of glass. “It has always been our view that Distinction’s GRP insulated composite door, althoug Ʌѥٔ́ݸɥЁݥѠѡ展̰́́ɕѡɥȁȁɅѥ̸ٔ́ѡɽٕЁɭЁٕ̰ѡ́́ɔɔхЁݥѠѽ́݅ѥѼѡȁ٥Յ䁅хє䁍ͥɅѥٔ́ѡЁ́хѕгtͅѥѥé5ɕ܁]ɥиQݕٔɅ́ɴѡѼѥѥẽaхd屔ɽɔѡЁ݅́չЁ%P̸!ݕٕȰѡ܁ɽɔͼ͡ݍ͕́յȁ܁́ѼѼѡɕ䁕ѕͥٔɅ()
