DOORS&WINDOWS
Sell what you love to
protect what they love
We all want to feel safe in our own home and
protect what we love. To walk in through the front
door at the end of the day, kick off our shoes and
relax, knowing that once that door’s slammed
shut, nothing - and no one can touch us. It’s a
feeling we’re well entitled to and it shouldn’t be
considered an ‘extra’ or a bonus. It’s only human.
» » HOWEVER RECENT FIGURES FROM
the Office for National Statistics show that
police-recorded crime has risen by 10% across
England and Wales – the largest annual rise for
a decade. This 10% represents nearly 5 million
offences, and reflects a rise in burglaries too.
Three out of four burglars enter by the front
door. Many are opportunistic and simply seize
their moment.
Preventative measures include installing a
burglar alarm and, just as importantly, using
it! Joining the local Neighbourhood Watch
scheme and installing CCTV are options
too. But your front door is your first line of
defence so making sure that the property’s
main entry point is as secure as it can possibly
be is essential, and should be a given.
In a report from Brisant Secure , security
is the most important thing to 85% of
homeowners when choosing a new door. What
homeowners may not realise, however, is that
many doors simply aren’t up to the job. They
can be kicked in or lifted out of their frame,
they are unable to pass the all-important
PAS24:2016 cut test, and locks can be easily

picked, bumped, snapped or drilled out. So
it is important installers can demonstrate
that the composite door their customers
have chosen will give them the security they
expect as standard. Security and peace of mind
shouldn’t be an extra.
MOST SECURE GRP DOOR
The good news for today’s security-
conscious homeowners is that feeling safe and
sound at home is easier and more affordable
than ever - and there’s no need to compromise
on colour, style or design.
Residor is the most secure GRP foam
composite door on the market. We can say
that with confidence because our doors come
with the security-busting Ultion 3* cylinder
as standard and a £1,000 Guarantee if it fails;
PAS24:2016 cut test pass – as standard; and
a 3.6mm GRP skin that’s twice as thick as
most doors, also as standard. No other GRP
composite door manufacturer is doing more
to give homeowners the front door they
deserve.
Residor’s new ‘Protect What You Love’ retail
brochure helps our installer customers sell
the leading security benefits of our range. But
we understand that homeowners also want
the best choice in designs, styles and colour
so that they not only get the best in security,
but their new door looks good too. That’s
why we have enhanced Residor’s range so it’s
now available in any RAL colour, with 2,328
options for delivery in just 10 days. We’ve also
recently added Anthracite Grey as a new foiled
colour, nine new glass styles, and additional
door frame colours, all on our standard 5-day
delivery. And with our incredible OTIF (On
Time, In Full) rate of 100% in June, July and
August (up to the time of writing), installers
can get on with the job and get ahead.
Simply put, it makes sense to sell
homeowners a door that does what it should
and looks the part. It’s a win-win for installers
who want to sell something they’re proud of –
and for homeowners’ who can relax knowing
they’ve got their security covered.
