New innovative paint for the window industry

»»
KOLORBOND HAS NOW fully released its water-based paint for PVCu and GRP , manufactured in the UK by Technispray Paints , suppliers of specialist coatings for PVCu windows and composite doors .
YEARS IN DEVELOPMENT
Called Kolorbond Aquatek , this paint has been a number of years in development and has been fully tested for adhesion and colour stability . Kolorbond Aquatek is quick drying and very hard when cured , yet it remains flexible even when applied to soft vinyl . As with all Kolorbond Paints it is guaranteed for adhesion and colour retention when applied by a Kolorbond Approved Applicator .
SPRAY OR BRUSH APPLICATION
Aquatek is proving very popular for spray painting composite doors and window frames when the manufacturing fabricator no longer wishes to expose staff to the dangers of isocyanate two pack paints .
When brush applied , Kolorbond Aquatek can make white PVCu look like painted wood . This is proving popular for applying to upmarket conservatories were wood construction would have been a more expensive option .
PROTECTIVE CLEANER
Kolorbond has also developed a new cleaner for painted , foiled and white window frames , called
Kolorclean . This cleaner has been developed to help to prevent the damage caused to window frames by cleaning with solvents and cleaners containing esters . Solvents and esters can seriously damage painted surfaces , the protective acrylic coating on foils and the surface structure of white PVCu , which can rapidly age .
Kolorclean is detergent based and contains a UV absorbing resin , which remains on the cleaned surface for up to three months . This resin has the ability to greatly extend the life and good looks of window frames and doors . Kolorclean also contains an anti-mould agent and fully compliments the growing range of Kolorbond paints and products . www . kolorbond . co . uk ; info @ kolorbond . co . uk
