INSTALLERSUPPORT
Behind the
decision
making
process
Entries are now open for the 2015 REHAU ‘Installation
of the Year’ competition and REHAU installers are being
invited to submit photos of their most exciting and
inspiring domestic installations from the past 12 months.
»»A new website is now live at
www.rehau.co.uk/competition where installers
can see the criteria for submitting entries, post
their photos and get lots of useful tips and
advice.
REHAU is hoping to see as broad a mix
of projects as possible in the entries – from
tiny cottages to sprawling mansions, and from
vertical sliders to multi-fold doors. New builds,
renovations, replacements and extensions can
all be included – the only restriction is that
the projects should be domestic rather than
commercial because REHAU is planning a
separate commercial competition in the spring
of 2016.
Every company which submits an entry
will get a prize from REHAU and the overall
winner will receive a digital SLR camera as well
»»LB Roof Windows recently
conducted a questionnaire to more than
12,000 builders and installers to establish
what is behind installers and builders’
decision making process when purchasing
skylights and roof windows for their
residential and commercial projects.
The questionnaire revealed that most
tradesmen (50% of the respondents) are
looking for quality when sourcing home
improvement products, specifically roof
windows.
LB Roof Windows sales director, Adrian
Cooper, said: “The respondents could
choose multiple options, allowing us to get
a clear view of their buying behaviour.
“We know our clients value true ‘fitand-forget’ products, as reputation is
paramount to their business success, with
much of their work still being the result of
customer recommendation. Naturally, they
will seek a product that has proven itself
time and time again. Perhaps a little more
surprising was to see how important it is
that their client’s recognise and approve of
a specific skylight or roof window brand.”
Aside from Velux and Aurora, the
company also supplies the Dakea range of
roof windows, skylights, and accessories,
Coxdome roof domes and Sunsquare flat
roof windows and skylight.
as the prestigious title of ‘REHAU Installation
of the Year.’
Kate Whitehead, REHAU’s Product Assistant,
who is organising the competition, says: “The
response to our first ever competition in 2014
was great but this time around we want to
encourage even more customers to take part.
We’ve put together our top tips for getting
the best pics on the website and we’ve even
included some of the best shots from last year
to provide some inspiration.”
The closing date for submitting entries to
the competition is 23rd November, and four
shortlisted projects will then be announced
on 1 December. The winning project will be
announced in January 2016.
