INSTALLER SPEEDS INTO 18TH YEAR

SHROPSHIRE-BASED INSTALLER Heritage Glass is set to motor into another successful year of partnership with door supplier Hurst Plastics with a brand new 2,500 square foot showroom and a fleet of liveried Minis .
Heritage has invested £ 75,000 in upgrading its showroom in Shrewsbury and has equipped it with a wide selection of windows , doors , conservatory roofs and more than 30 composite doors and door panels from Hurst Plastics .
Ahead of its 18th birthday celebrations next year , the family-run firm has also taken delivery of the first two Mini Clubman cars
to join its fleet of corporate vehicles . The British racing green Minis feature eye-catching Heritage and Hurst Plastics branding and will be packed with ‘ mini ’ samples of PVCu and aluminium windows and Hurst doors to demonstrate to customers in their homes .
Tony Randall , director at Heritage , said : “ We have a long pedigree and are well known in and around Shrewsbury so these new Minis will be a great asset for our business . The cars are great fun and instantly recognisable and the team can ’ t wait to get out on the road in them . After overhauling our showroom and adding the most extensive collection of composite doors and door panels in the region , they will really help us to speed into our 18th year .”

EPWIN GROUP HAS supported installer Southern Plasticlad Ltd on its latest marketing campaign , with sponsorship for a hot air balloon at the recent Bristol Balloon Fiesta festival . Director Jon Thompson explains : “ We contacted Epwin about including the Swish Authorised Installer logos on our Southern Plasticlad hot air balloon for the festival , and were thrilled to receive their support with sponsorship .
“ As part of the campaign we ran a competition on our social media pages to win a champagne balloon flight for two over the four-day Bristol Balloon Fiesta . Entrants had to post their own image of the balloon at the festival on our Facebook wall , and the response has been great , and as result we ’ ve increased our presence on social media considerably .”

THE GLASS AND GLAZING Federation ( GGF ) has launched its Annual Report 2016 reporting on year ending 31st December 2015 .
The GGF is the primary trade association for companies that make , supply or fit flat glass and related products representing more than 60 % of the industry ’ s turnover .
In the report the financial section shows the GGF has remained financially stable throughout the year with the number and the value of members ’ subscriptions remaining fairly constant .
The report also highlights the political , technical , marketing and legislative work the federation has undertaken during the period .
Nigel Rees , GGF chief executive commented : “ I thank all our members for their support and can assure them that the federation will continue to do its utmost to deliver the benefits and customer service to help our members cope with the challenges ahead .”
