g15awards FINALIST LINE-UP FOR HISTORIC RENOVATION »»Timber window and door specialist ERW Joinery Ltd is delighted to be part of the prestigious line-up of finalists in the G-15 Commercial Project of the Year category. This is not the first time this family-run business from Teeside has made it through to the finals, having won the G-10 Retail Promotional Campaign of the Year. This year, however, it’s the commercial part of the business that is getting the recognition with ERW’s project to renovate the historic Tynemouth Volunteer Life Brigade Museum. Philip Wall, ERW’s Commercial Manager, comments: “The old, rather romantic, Grade II listed wooden building looks out over the mouth of the Tyne and the notorious Black Middens rocks and is now occupied by the RNLI and HM Coastguard. In total our specialist team carried out the overhaul and repair of 39 vertical sliding sash windows, two casement windows, as well as six hardwood inward opening casement windows. “As specialists in renovation and restoration, we are invited to work on some truly historic and prestigious buildings. The Watch House Museum project was particularly special as we were able to utilise our extensive knowledge of timber to recreate some unique sash windows within the circular ‘lamp room’ and to overhaul a wide selection of historical vertical sliding sash and casements. Working alongside Kier North & MGM Specialist Construction Ltd, we were able to transform this building whilst protecting the original and unique artefacts held within. “Joining some of the big global brands in the G-Award shortlist is a further endorsement of our work and whether we win or not, we’re really looking forward to celebrating in London in November.” Museum Secretary, John Wright, from the Watch Tower www.erwltd.co.uk/trade-homepage/ www.clearview-uk.com The Icing on the Cake »»RegaLead is delighted at the news that it has achieved a shortlist place in the G-15 Awards’ Component Supplier of the Year category. Guy Hubble, Joint Managing Director or RegaLead comments: “To be shortlisted by the judges is a huge achievement and the RegaLead team is really excited, particularly as it came in the same week that our Decorative Door Products (DDP) Division has reached the final of the National Fenestration Awards in the IGU Manufacturer of the Year category. “We uniquely supply components specifically designed to add value through decoration, enabling our customers to profit further down the supply chain. We invested heavily in our business in order to extend this value across the flat glass, composite door and glass processing sectors so it’s fantastic to see our hard work rewarded with a place in the finals at the G-15 Awards. Obviously, a win would be the icing on the cake, but ultimately we are enjoying the recognition and are incredibly proud to have been included in such an impressive shortlist.” Call 0161 946 1164 or visit www.regalead.co.uk C L E A RV I E W-U K .
