Proving Investment Pays off
Chigwell Window Centre was formed in early 2014 by Sunny and Ammo Singh and
a workforce of two. Based in Hainault, Essex, the company manufactures and installs
PVCu and aluminium doors and windows for the domestic and commercial sectors.

company came about as a result
of a neighbouring firm, Chigwell
Construction, with a view for
Chigwell Window Centre to
supply windows. So impressed
was managing director, Dean
Floyd, with the service and
products being supplied th at
instead of continuing the contract
he decided to buy the company.
The company has since
relocated to a 10,000 sq ft

premises and invested more
than half a million pounds in
machinery and vehicles. One of
those machines has included a
new Supercut 5 from Wegoma,
which has allowed Chigwell
Window Centre to increase its
output to more than 400%.
This astronomical rise means
they now have a 25-strong
workforce and have increased
output from between 100-150
windows per week to 500.

The new machining centre
for PVCu profiles is a high-end
machining centre which has been
custom built for the UK and Irish
window industry.
Sunny explains how the
acquisition came about: “While
we were in the process of
purchasing other machinery, we
couldn’t find a machining centre
that would do exactly what we
wanted it to. One of our other
suppliers suggested the Supercut

so we got in contact with
Wegoma to find out more.
“We were really impressed when
we spoke to the guys. They were
friendly, helpful and informative –
and we knew very quickly that we
had found what we needed.
“The Wegoma guys were
fantastic. They spent two weeks on
site here during the installation,
which only took four weeks in total.
It was a very smooth process and
led to an easy transition from our
previous system to the new one.
“We couldn’t believe the
immediate results – it’s blown us
away really! The staff love it and
the built-in labelling system has
made life so much easier. We were
previously using marker pens to
label the cuts, but now everything
is much better organised and
efficient.
“In fact we are now in the
process of installing a new
scanning system and aim to be a
paperless company very soon. We
just couldn’t be happier with the
Supercut 5!”
