DOORS&WINDOWS sponsored by Recognising Local Brands »»More than 50 Emplas customers have now qualified for their ‘ownbranded’ frame protective tape, part of the Emplas marketing support package designed to help installers grow their own brands. On the basis that they meet small average order volumes, Emplas will remove system company branded tape and replace it with a specially designed and printed profile tape, carrying the logo and branding of that individual installation business. It’s also offered to members of the Emplas Installer Partnership, which was recently launched and forms a commitment from Emplas to support retailers. Mike Crewdson, Sales and Marketing Director, Emplas said: “We know from experience through our own local retail business that branding which is directly associated with a local community, adds a huge amount of credibility to your business. “Emplas, or the names of any number of systems companies don’t mean much outside the window industry but ‘ABC Windows’ in wherever town, will mean something to the people that live there. For that reason we don’t push our own trade brand but the retail brands of our customers.” To find our more follow twitter @ emplaswindows. A perfect sash »»FrameXpress was recently contracted to supply all new sash windows for a renovation project in Essex, where it was stipulated by the local authority that aesthetics must match the style of the property and surrounding area. For the end users it was considered a major investment in a property that they wished to fully restore before looking at selling in a housing market that is starting to look buoyant. Ian Davis, Sales Manager frameXpress commented: “Today, replacement sash windows make a stunning finish to period homes and it does not have to be a hugely expensive investment to give windows a new lease of life. “Our range lends itself well to restoration projects and enables customers to broaden their business, giving them scope to offer a little more than just the standard window styles and colours. Certainly, there is no shortage of enthusiasm regarding the benefits of installing sash windows.” Ian adds.
