ALUMINIUM INCREASED DEMAND FOR ALUMINIUM PRODUCTS »»CDW SYSTEMS IS STILL celebrating a record 2015 for demand of its aluminium windows and doors, seeing an increased turnover of 20%. One of the reasons CDW achieved a record year of trading was the acquisition of a high number of new customers; coupled with an increasing order book for its existing clients. Management information at the Gloucester based fabricator also shows that more aluminium windows and doors are being specified for domestic refurbishment and renovation projects; as well as commercial applications. Allan Little, Production Director at CDW Systems, comments: “Homeowner demand for aluminium windows and doors shows no sign of slowing down. Going forward this demand will only rise, as homeowner tastes become more discerning. “We’re also seeing a trend of replacement windows installed in the 1980s being replaced again.” Ev en though aluminium is proving increasingly popular in the domestic market, has been vocal about the sector’s need to deliver a solution that is suitable for the newbuild market. CDW’s managing director Jerry Webb added: “There are still plenty of opportunities out there for aluminium and we will continue to champion its use and support our customers in taking advantage of lucrative new markets.” www.cdwsystems.co.uk www.clearview-uk.com EN 14351-1:2006+A1:2010 Pedestrian doorsets for escape routes.
