The Machinery Up-Rising
»»The first couple of
months in 2015 seemed to have
taken a surprisingly good turn
for most window and door
companies. Many have seen
increased production volume for
composite doors, bi-fold doors
and ‘VS’ windows; creating a
demand for automated sawing and
machining.
Stuga has worked hard to recruit
new staff to deal with the surge in
demand for automatic sawing and
machining centers from production
staff to the key backroom people
who take care of the equipment
once commissioned.
Stuga believe back-up support
is just has important than the
choice of machine, and being able
to support fabricators if a machine
error occurs is vital. Stuga has a
team of experienced and trained
technicians both in the field and in
the service centre.
Stuga currently has a full order
book through to autumn this year,
installing its high-output machine;
the ZX4 and Autoflow-2 sawing and
machining center.
The top of the range ZX4 can
produce up to 1,000 windows
per week, and is an advantage to
large fabricator. The AutoFlow-2
has an output of around 400
windows per week but is popular
with smaller fabricators and
manufacturers wanting to create
an individual ‘special line’ to
create something more than just
standard frame.
