HARDWARE& SECURITY Golf day honours company founder » » GT WINDOW PRODUCTS HOSTED A golf day for their customers at Puckrup hall in honour of founder Graham Taylor, which is duly named the Graham Taylor Memorial Trophy. This is the fourth golf event to date and every year the event gets bigger. With a field of 60 golfers competing for the trophy GT had customers from all over the country that supported the event and was very well received by all. The day consisted of several formats as well as a signature nearest-to-pin contest whereby an expert team installed some professional equipment that recorded every golfers swing, shot and ball trace, it then measured the ball nearest to pin automatically to determine a league table and the winner. John Lannen of L&L windows won the nearest-to-pin comp and picked up a cheque of £500 donated by GT. Other winners included Vernier for Team Stableford who landed the GT Memorial Trophy, David Aldam of Sliding Doors & Windows for best Single Stableford, and Brad Hawkins for Best Scratch Golfer. The evening was complete with a world up-close magician champion Chris Priest who wowed guest with some stunning tricks. ‘it’s a great honour to my father’ Carl Taylor MD of GT said “It’s great to honour my father with his own golf day and trophy, but more importantly to give something back to our customers that have not only supported our golf day but also us as a business over the past 20 years. We plan to continue this event every two years with the next one scheduled for 2020 and hope to get more and more customers joining us every event.” Manufacturers of window and door hardware dedicated to the timber, PVCu and aluminium markets for over 40 years. • Cylinders • Handles • Fasteners • Espags • Shootbolts • Hinges • Locks • Restrictors Get a handle on our range!
