‘STAGGERING INTEREST’ IN SWITCHABLE GLASS
»»Visitors flocked to see
electrochromic switchable
glass technology in action for
the first time at the UK launch
of SMARTGLASS® Dynamic,
powered by SageGlass® at this
year’s FIT Show.
The technology, as a domestic
proposition in lantern roofs,
was on display at the entrance
to the show’s Innovation Zone.
Visitors were encouraged to
invest in showroom models and
were enticed by key incentives
for orders placed at the show.

With over 250 leads received,
Clayton Glass firmly believes
that electrochromic switchable
glass in lantern roofs is now a
commercial reality.
The company was also placed
runner up in the ‘Best Stand
Designed under 80m2’ category
in the FIT Show Awards 2016.
SMARTGLASS® Dynamic
is now available in a range
of modular lantern roofs in
just 7-10 days, but as sales
and interest increases there
will be opportunities for full

conservatories and bi-folding
doors.
The product was proven to be
very easy to i nstall on build-up
of the exhibition stand requiring
just a simple 5-volt DC power
supply.

TAKING A STAND ON QUALITY
»»Industry-leading systems
supplier, The VEKA UK Group, is
celebrating another successful
stint at the popular FIT Show in
Telford. More than 8,502 people
visited the show over the course
of the three-day event, and the
Burnley-based company had
a steady stream of interested
visitors to the expansive stand.

»»Flair Plastic Products had its best ever
FIT Show thanks to a number of innovative
products from Kömmerling, including the
new PremiFold slide and swing window and
door system, PremiLine PRO patio door
and the lift and slide PremiDoor 88.
Taking centre stage was the new slide
and swing window, which harnessed
standard C70 Gold® profiles, with no
visible hinges and hardware. The door
variant of this system was also on show
and has already achieved PAS24, much
like the PremiLine PRO patio door, which
incorporates a hidden locking mechanism

at the interlock, removing the need for
unsightly plunge bolts.
The PremiDoor 88 brings large scale
spanning applications to life with far more
glass area than bi-folding doors, boasting
spans up to 6.5 metres with just two sashes.
