Bowater by Birtley is reaping the rewards of flying the flag for composite doors at this year ’ s bigger and better FIT Show .

perfectly colour matched to the bright colours in our logo . We ’ re able to offer any colour customers want thanks to our in-house paint facility . We ’ re also able to colour match the frames to the door .”

Putting the spotlight firmly on their range of cutting-edge roof lights , Leicesterbased glazing specialists Roof Maker are celebrating a highly-successful debut FIT Show appearance .
Roof Maker ’ s FIT Show stand featured a selection of premium quality rooflights including the LuxLite roof window , the O-Lite circular rooflight and the newest addition to the range , Open-Lite , a high-performance roof access rooflight .
Roof Maker looked to use The FIT Show to further establish themselves in the trade sector . The firm left the NEC with a bulging contacts book , with installers looking to strengthen their business and capitalise at the high-end of the market .

FEATURE-PACKED BI-FOLD IS FITTERS ’ FRIEND

Dutemänn , the well-known quality trade supplier of aluminium doors , chose FIT Show 2017 to launch its new ‘ feature-packed ’ FD85 bi-folding door system .
The FD85 is aimed at the more discerning homeowner , architect or builder and represents the completion of a three-year project . Right from the drawing board , Dutemänn wanted the FD85 to move the bi-fold market forward , offer excellent U-values and meet all industry security standards .
Dutemänn UK managing director Martin James showed visitors around the new product at the FIT Show . Martin , who worked for door and window security hardware firm Winkhaus for many years , told them : “ There has been great industry interest in the Quad-bolt system which is standard on and exclusive to the FD85 . Quad-bolt is one of the design features that we are most proud of , and will give clients the added security they crave .”
Quad-bolt has helped the company attain PAS24:2016 . Every FD85 bi-folding door will leave the factory built to this exacting security standard , meaning that clients will comply with part Q of building regulations for new build dwellings .
Martin said : “ Our field trials show that the FD85 will also be the ‘ fitters friend ’ with its easy fit outer frames along with hinge and
lock adjustment . The outer frame has been designed with corner setting blocks for quick , efficient and trouble-free installation .”
The FD85 has undoubtedly moved the bi-fold market on in terms of innovation , he added , with its 105mm mullion among the slimmest doors available .
